[Q&A] My child is so engrossed in walking that she bangs into everything door, walls etc. should i be worried about this doctors?

Question: dear Doctors,
my little girl is now 11.5 months old and she has just started toddling at about 11 months. my concern is now, she’s so engrossed in walking that she bangs into everything door, walls etc. should i be worried about this doctors? also, she has not gained proper stability and she may just tumble at any time and she is always falling on her bump/knees. wouldnt that hurt her? so far no visible scars but im worried that it might effect her internal organs.

Answer: That is pretty common in babies learning to walk . As long as there is no serious injury , there is nothing to worry about . Certainly at 11 months old , kids cannot walk steadily. Most children would walk well by 18 months although many may be able to walk well by 13 months. No it will not affect her internal organs or else she would have been in pain .
