Question: My 9 month old baby just got well from viral fever. However, since then she refused to takeher formula.
She’s eating her porridge well and is drinking lots of plain water. We literally have to force down milk in her. We try when ever she’s asleep. Sometimes she takes it sometimes she rejects it. Its been a week now and the lease she drinks is 6 ounces in a day.
I am really worried she’s not getting enough nutrition from solids alone. Should i change her formula? Or is this just a transition as she just got well.
Also, can i feed her yogurt? Appreciate your kind feedback on this.
Thank you
Answer: If she is well, active and playing as usual, feeding solid n drinks a lot, passing urine normally ; try feeding milk using spoon or small cup. Small amount at a time.It will take much of your time but it usually works. They will usually improve n start drinking as usual after that. You may not need to change her milk. You can try vegetable soup as well. Yogurt is fine too. However, if there is any sign of deterioration in her condition , pls head to d doctor.
