Question: Dear doc..my 3yr old son doesnt like formuls milk..even if its flavoured..he’s fully brst feed till age 2plus..evrytime i try to gv him the milk,he will vomit terribly..n get sick aftr few day…im worried bout his calcium intake.fyi,he eat evrythnng,n espeacially love cheese,apple,frozen yogurt,ayam msak kicap with carrots n potato,chicken soup..n he also take multivits+fish oil 10ml daily…should i gv him calcium supplement?
Answer: if he is healthy ,growing well and eats variety of food, calcium supplement may not be needed. if you wish to supplement him anyway , do make sure that it is within the recommended dose.
