Question: Hi Doc. I have read one of your reply regarding separation anxiety. However, my son 1 year 10mth old… having problem in separating with me every single day. either when i send him to nursery or even when i go to the toilet. is it some kind of disorder? I dont think he is afraid since when we go for a walk he will left me behind or while he watch tv he dont even realise im gone.
im not sure if its some kind of disorder. sometimes he seems fine when i left him with babysitter but most of the time he reluctant.
Answer: Maybe you need to observe carefully when or where does he normally reluctant or refuse separation. Is there a consistent place? If there is, it means there’s something not right n yr child is trying to tell u something. I dont think he has any disorder based on what u wrote.
